On your first visit to our clinic, we will take a complete medical history and discuss your specific symptoms, problems, and treatment goals with you.
Your physiotherapist will complete a physical assessment of the pelvic floor, hips, and lower back muscles, joints, and tissues with your consent. This may include internal and external examinations to identify the affected tissues contributing to your urinary, bowel, or pelvic pain symptoms.
Your initial visit will take approximately 50 minutes and provide plenty of time for questions to ensure you understand your condition and treatment plan.
If you live with any of the following problems, you may benefit from our pelvic health program:
Pain in or around the pelvic region for more than three months.
Post-partum separation of your abdominal muscles that persists longer than 8 weeks after giving birth.
A compelling urge to urinate that may be difficult to control.
Leakage of urine with coughing, sneezing, or jumping that cannot be controlled.
Persistent pain that has not resolved with other forms of treatment.
You have to urinate so frequently that your routine is affected.
The latest hands-on techniques to release trigger points, muscle tightness, and joint stiffness in the lower back, hips, and pelvis may contribute to your problem.
An individualized exercise program may include soft tissue release, breathing, postural exercises, stretching, and strengthening for the pelvic floor, core, lower back, and hips.
Biofeedback and breathing techniques help retrain weak, dysfunctional, or tight pelvic floor muscles. You learn how to use the pelvic floor muscles more effectively, which can help improve incontinence and pain.
Knowledge is power! Understanding your condition helps you take control of your problem and is vital to your recovery.
This may include heat, cold, trans-electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), guided imagery, breathing, and relaxation techniques.

"...I highly recommend Treloar Physio. ....."
"I highly recommend Treloar Physio. My therapist was Chelsea Chua. She helped me with my recovery from spinal surgery. Chelsea was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and attentive to my needs & limitations. She did an excellent evaluation and set forth an easy-to-follow exercise & management plan. Within 6 weeks, I experienced a vast improvement in strength and mobility, and I have now returned to normal activities thanks to Chelsea. "
